marriage- a love and hate relationship

Today is a very special day December 23,2007. My Co-Host and very good friend is renewing his vowels with his wife live on the air at 5 pm eastern. Now anyone that is married can tell you marriage is the hardest thing you will do in your life, and the most rewarding. If anyone tells you that their life and marriage is always great, they are lying through their teeth. Cheating, anger, and resentment can overwhelm you and your marriage. I dont like it, but you will always have difficulties. Things happen that you can not control, not just in marriage, in life.
Now I’m not telling you this, to say, “hell no, Im not getting married then”. Their is no greater feeling to have someone by your side when the difficulties are so overwhelming that you have no where to turn. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is more important to you then receiving love from another human being.
For those of you that dont know, I had a work accident and lost my right thumb in an accident about 14 years ago. I was rushed to the hospital and felt so alone. My wife, who you know as sexy shelly, stayed with me in the emergency room the whole time. In such a tragic and lonely moment in my life, I never felt so loved in my life. This woman stayed up with me night and day until I could heal up to do things myself. How could a beautiful woman, stop her whole life and take care of me when i couldnt. Here is the catch, the night before we was in a fight and talking about spliting up.
Now Im not saying I am in no way a marriage counselor or relationship expert, but if you have someone special that will be there for you (no matter what), maybe you should be there for them. Talk things out, get the true story, maybe things arent as bad as you think. If all things go well, maybe ill be writing about your 35th year together and all the battles you went through to get there.
